This Week at Mecca

June 23rd - 27th

The last week of school is finally upon us, its been a busy year with many highlights.   There are no exams for Junior High Students this week,  Monday is delgated for a day for junior high students to come in a complete missing assignments or redo assignments,  Tuesday is a day they can rewrite any exams they did poorly on throughout the year. 

You may have heard about a potential Teacher Strike, here's what we know as of right now. 

The teachers have voted to strike if there is no new deal, this does not necassarily mean there will be a strike.  From the strike vote there is a 120 day time period in which they can ennact the strike.  This could potentially happen into the fall.  I am hopeful as a deal can be reached and there is no disruption in next years school calendar as negotiations are ongoing.  We fully expect to start the school year as scheduled. 

Monday - 

Tuesday - K - 3 Field Trip to Gull Lake

Wednesday - 

 - Mrs. B is at Mecca

Thursday - Mrs. B at Mecca

 - Kinder Grad at 11:00 in the gym followed by farewells to departing staff and year end slide show. 

Friday  -  PD Day for teachers to wrap up loose ends and staff wind up event.
